SAKAPHEN SÄKA 80 cleaning paste has been designed to clean the surface of high-voltage insulators from dust deposits that can cause electric arcs. It enables quick and safe cleaning of insulators, even on the most heavily soiled surfaces, and forms a thin, protective, hydrophobic silicone film that prevents granular materials from adhering. Its protective film does not dry out and is UV-resistant, which extends maintenance intervals and significantly reduces the frequency of cleaning.
SÄKA 80 cleaning paste complies with EC Regulation No. 1907/2006 (REACH) and German technical rules TRGS 200, 220.
Areas of application
The products have been developed by SÄKAPHEN laboratories over many years and are used in Europe and around the world by the following major operators:
• Energy: the use of cleaning agents enables operators in the sector to save 50% to 75% on maintenance costs.
• Rail transport: the cleaning paste is used to clean locomotive insulators and, in some countries, to clean signal panels.
• Steelworks and cement works: The products are used for cleaning and maintaining machinery and transformers that are subject to significant deterioration due to pollutant and dust deposits. These precautions help to make the workplace cleaner and safer for operators.
• Biomass and wood chip power plants: The cleaning paste is ideal for cleaning the electric filters used in these facilities for dust suppression.
Method of application
Applying SÄKA 80 paste is quick and easy:
• Remove dust and dirt from the insulators to make them as clean as possible
• Apply SÄKA 80 paste manually with a cloth, using circular movements to clean all surfaces
• Polish the cups with a clean cloth to remove any excess product and achieve a smooth, shiny finish
The product does not attack metals, plastics or ceramics and is physiologically non-toxic. It can also be used for cleaning and maintaining various stainless steel and brass metal surfaces.
SAEKA 80.750 cleaning paste is solvent-free and dermatologically tested, and contains non-toxic abrasives, oils and greases. It is not considered a hazardous product and its application does not require special equipment or specific personal protective equipment (PPE).
