Problem: limitations of hot-dip galvanising

Hot-dip galvanising protects steel from corrosion and can last for several decades in moderate environments. However, in more aggressive environments (heavily polluted industrial areas, salty coastal areas or areas with high humidity), the zinc coating wears away more quickly.

Over time, even galvanised structures can become vulnerable to rust, requiring repairs or additional reinforcement to maintain their durability.

GALVAGRID® Rust-Anode Primer revolutionises corrosion protection thanks to a unique combination of technologies :

• Advanced galvanic coating : Provides additional zinc thickness, greater than that of conventional hot-dip galvanising, significantly increasing the durability of structures.

•    In situ recharging : Allows already oxidised metal structures to be restored directly on site or in the factory, without the need for dismantling or replacement. This solution extends their service life by 20 to 40 years.

This process, which can be carried out at room temperature, is suitable for both new structures and ageing equipment, offering an effective and economical alternative to traditional galvanisation.
