E/FOURREAU MIDSUN® insulating sheath for bird protection cables and busbars

Characteristics of the range E/FOURREAU

MIDSUN^® E/FOURREAU is used to provide an additional layer of electrical insulation to protect animals and birds. It is applicable to busbars and overhead lines of up to 35kV phase to earth.
The sheats are made out of an insulating silicone material suitable for harsh outdoor environment conditions for substations.

Installation instructions for E/FOURREAU sheats

The E/FOURREAU is manufactured with a slot to allow easy application without having to cut the electrical connections. The sheath is simply open and stretched, which allows it to slide quickly over the cable or busbar to be protected.
There is no thermal shrinkage required for its application. No tool other than a cutting tool to obtain an appropriate length is required.

The sheats are flexibles and adjustables, which makes them easy to apply and remove.

1. Open the E/FOURREAU and wrap it around the conductor
2. On horizontal busbar applications, wind it with the slit side down to limit the ingress of rainwater
3. Once installed, ensure that the sheath is completely closed around the conductor.

Lifetime and guarantees

The products in the E/FOURREAU range have a shelf life of 5 years from the date of manufacture; they must be stored between 10°C and 27°C and for a relative humidity rate <75%).

Applied in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations MIDSUN^®, this product is guaranteed by the manufacturer for a minimum of 10 years.
